Not genitals.
Not chromosomes.
Not hormones.
Not gonads.
Not secondary sex characteristics.
Not 10% one of those, 30% one of another, 60% of a third.
Sex is unconsented gender assignment masquerading as objective, natural truth.
Wouldn’t that assume that sex is a social construct though? Which is not true. Sex involves real, manifested differences between members of a species. A male is physically different than a female or someone who is intersex, and vise versa. And not only are these differences real, they are essential for survival. (Though that importance on reproduction could be debated at this point in time but certainly reproduction was necessary throughout human evolution, for obvious reasons.)
If anything I would say that heteronormative gender is what is coercive. That makes a lot more sense, unless of course we’re talking about only intersex people who are coerced into a binary male or female category.
